Lived experience study
The University of Sydney would like to share information with you about a research study being conducted by Jenna Bongioletti as part of her PhD. The study, titled “Conversations: Understanding the Lived-Experiences of Children and Young People who are Hard of Hearing” is all about listening to the voices of children and young people who are Hard of Hearing and using their experiences and insights to find ways to make conversations easier and more enjoyable.
Who can take part?
Participating is completely voluntary. We are looking for participants who are 18 to 24 years old, or parents of a child who is 14 to 18 years old and who meet the following criteria:
- Diagnosed with a permanent bilateral sensorineural hearing loss through an Australian newborn hearing screening program
- From 14;0 to 24;11 years of age
- Uses hearing aid/s and/or cochlear implant/s
- Uses spoken language as their main mode of communication
- Had access to support from Hearing Australia from birth.
