Advocacy

Explore this section

For parents of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, advocacy means standing up for their child’s rights, making sure their needs are met, and raising awareness for hearing loss. It also involves empowering their child and allowing them to advocate for themselves. For advocacy to be successful there must be an understanding of the child’s needs and the supports necessary to meet those needs.
