Sound Scouts Hearing Screening App

Researchers at Macquarie University are seeking participants to assess of the sensitivity and specificity of the revised shorter version of Sound Scouts Hearing Screening App

Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the study, your child must be at least 4.5 years of age, have a mild to moderate degree of hearing loss and English must at least be your child’s second language. 

What is involved
Your child’s participation in this study will last for approximately 15-20 minutes (10 mins for the standard hearing test and 8 mins to play the Sound Scouts game), which will be finished in one testing session either in the clinic or at home.  A report of the Sound Scouts game will be provided to all participants after the test. Participants will be provided with the report of the standard hearing test on request.
