Research participation – Raising a child with cochlear implants is a complex responsibility

Dilshan Delgama, a PhD Student, is conducting a research study exploring the challenges, considerations, support needs, and digital preferences of parents/caregivers of young children with cochlear implants. This project is sponsored by The University of Melbourne.

If you care for a child with a cochlear implant who was implanted under 3 years of age, they want to hear about the challenges you’ve faced and how they can improve this experience.

By completing a quick and easy survey, your valuable input can help support other parents and caregivers in the future.

For more information, please refer to the Participant Information Sheet and study recruitment flyer (see links below). If you have any questions about the study, please contact Dilshan Delgama from the Department of Audiology & Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne (ddelgama@student.unimelb.edu.au or +61 415 727 821)

NOTE: To enrol in the study, your child must have a cochlear implant and have been implanted under 3 years of age.
