Aussie Deaf Kids today announced the appointment of their new Chair, Mrs Roslyn Wyburn. Mrs Wyburn has been appointed to the position, effective 19 November 2020.

The CEO, Mrs Ann Porter AM commented, “I am delighted that Ros has agreed to take on the role of Chair for Aussie Deaf Kids. I look forward to continuing our collaborative working relationship in the coming years.”

Mrs Wyburn has a son with hearing loss and additional needs. Ros and her husband, Mark, have been members of Aussie Deaf Kids groups for many years and actively involved in researching and writing submissions to Government from consumer working groups during this time.

Mrs Porter added, “I would like to thank Dr Jill Duncan for stepping up as Interim Chair in July 2020 following the resignation of Mr Stephen Pascoe. We are fortunate that Jill will continue as a Director of the Board as her expertise within the sector is invaluable.”

The Board has also appointed two new Directors, Mrs Flora Chan and Mrs Fiona Graney, who both bring valuable professional expertise and lived experience of hearing loss to the Board.
