We are all ears: Learning from parents’ experiences about hearing aid use in their young children

In this webinar, Lisa Nailand presents the findings from her research on hearing aid use in young children and provides hands-on strategies for parents and caregivers to improve their child’s hearing aid use.

Lisa Nailand joined The Shepherd Centre (Sydney) in 2008. She is a senior Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS) and a certified practicing Speech Pathologist.  She currently lives in Israel but still works part time for The Shepherd Centre  as a mentor to therapists working towards their LSLS certification. She graduated with an honours degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1992 and in January 2023, she completed her Masters of Research degree in Applied Science at the University of Sydney.

Lisa loves being a clinician first and foremost and has always enjoyed working alongside a child’s family unit, using a family-centred care approach to help them reach the best possible outcomes.
