HURRY, this survey closes 2nd October!
This is an opportunity to shape what research National Acoustics Laboratory (NAL) does around children and families over the next few years and we encourage parents to have their say.
Researchers at the National Acoustic Laboratories are planning the next phase of a long-term Australian study involving children, adolescents and young adults with hearing loss in both ears, as well as those who have one normal hearing ear and one ear with hearing loss.
NAL want this research to answer questions that matter to children and families as they grow and to ensure the study is designed in ways that are practical, acceptable and useful. This survey gives you the opportunity to share your priorities, preferences and views on how this research should be conducted.
The main focus of this next phase is to understand how early hearing support helps children over the long term, where it may fall short, and what factors help children thrive, cope and adapt as they grow. NAL also want to find ways to identify potential challenges early, so families and services can provide the right support.
