Early intervention best practice guidelines now available

20 April, 2016 Ann Porter Parents

Professionals and organisations working in the early childhood intervention sector can for the first time access guidelines to support them in providing the best possible service to children and families across Australia.

The new National Guidelines for Best Practice in Early Childhood Intervention provide a framework for delivering fair and equitable services to all children and families in need of support, regardless of their location.

Informed by national and international research, the guidelines, released by the peak body Early Childhood Intervention Australia, provide evidence based recommendations to improve practices across Australia's early childhood intervention services.

Developed through two years of consultation with the sector, the guideliens will make it easier for families and children across Australia to access consistent and equitable childhood disability services under the NDIS.
