Information on the Internet about auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) can be quite confusing, with some sites telling parents one thing, and others suggesting something quite different. Often there are so many options to choose from that it can be difficult for parents to work out what's going to be best for their baby or child. This webinar will go through some of the most frequently asked questions from parents, and aims to provide some answers that will help parents see the journey forward more clearly.

Kirsty has been working as an audiologist for over 25 years, with a particular focus on paediatric audiology and electrophysiological testing. She is currently working as a diagnostic audiologist at the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre, and a clinical consultant in newborn hearing screening for Scanmedics.
Kirsty completed her Bachelor of Science and post-graduate studies in Audiology at the University of Melbourne; her Masters in Audiology at Macquarie University; and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney.
One of Kirsty’s main areas of specialty is in auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD). Her PhD was undertaken at the National Acoustic Laboratories, where she investigated the use of electrophysiological testing techniques to assist in the management of infants and children with ANSD. Kirsty also has a particular interest in the early identification of hearing loss through newborn hearing screening, and is on the Australasian Newborn Hearing Screening Committee.
