Parents

Parent forums

Aussie Deaf Kids has two parent forums. The groups are for members only and provide a friendly and supportive environment for parents to discuss issues, ideas and concerns about raising their deaf child.

Note
Phidcoz (Parents of Hearing Impaired and Deaf Children in Australia) is best suited to parents whose child has a bilateral hearing loss. The children's hearing losses range from mild to profound. We respect the right of the parents to choose whatever mode of communication suits their child and family. This is a forum for Australian parents to discuss issues, ideas and concerns about any aspect of their child's life and receive feedback, advice and support from other parents.
Unilateral sign
Aussie Deaf Kids with Unilateral Loss aims to provide a supportive environment where parents of children with a unilateral hearing loss can meet online and discuss the challenges and successes with other parents in a similar situation.
