This is a temporary website. It is designed to inform you about how Aussie Deaf Kids is changing and keep you up to date on our progress.
On 25 September 2007, Aussie Deaf Kids was registered as a not-for-profit company whose vision is to create a leading website for families raising a deaf child. The website will provide families with a comprehensive guide for their journey from diagnosis through to the post-school period.
The past, present and future
There are currently two Aussie Deaf Kids websites. They are separate but inextricably linked.
This website www.aussiedeafkids.org.au is the website for Aussie Deaf Kids Limited and is designed to provide you with information about our plans for the future, our progress and our news.
www.aussiedeafkids.com is the site that has been running since 2001 providing parents whose child has a hearing loss with online support and information. This site will remain solely the work of its founder, Ann Porter, and is not the responsibility of the new organisation, Aussie Deaf Kids Limited.
Both these sites will be replaced by the new website for parents which we anticipate will come online in November 2008.
